Many may have this idea that we are enabling the homeless community by providing all of this care
but we donʻt see it that way. The phrase vulnerable is used because thatʻs what they all are.
We understand that in order for any real change. They need a fighting chance in their efforts to recover and heal.
This is how we choose to support and hold space for all of the unsheltered we provide care to.
We meet them where theyʻre at and move accordingly but always forward.

Huge Mahalo to all of our volunteers who show up in their spare time!
Huge Mahalo to all of our volunteers who show up in their spare time!
Bill 95 - FD 2024 was proposed by Councilmember Nohe U’u-Hodgins and unanimously passed by the Maui County Council in support of the Paia Fire Mitigation Plan
We also showed up in numbers to oppose this bill and even though
we were used as a direct outreach resource. Our testimonies fell on deaf ears!
This non legislative meeting would be rescheduled for 6/18/24.
We understand the fear of another brush fire so we work with and throughout this homeless community to bring awareness and provide supplies in case of an emergency.
All agencies and people hired to protect and serve all Maui people homeless and criminal included collaboratively support Councilmember Uʻu-Hodgins
in passing Bill 95.
To put up 3 more gates to oppress the vulnerable community and blocking access to the only emergency road on the North Shore of Maui if there ever was a fire, tsunami, or vehicle accident in the area causing a traffic jam and potential deaths.
Closing arguments for Bill 95!
Where were all these people when we held our meetings?
Our response - We have kept our honest opinions to ourselves and let the work show for itself. We remain vigilant and committed in our continued work without any agency assistance. We remain steadfast and grassroots through and through. Thatʻs where we are everyday!
Mahalo for visiting our website and wanting to learn more about what we work towards for our homeless community. The good outweigh the bad. The bad recharges us to keep doing good. I move solely from my na’au and upbringing with the intention of providing care where care doesn’t exist. Changing this system one kuleana at a time.
